It had been years since I’d been to Asia for work, and as a digital nomad I knew that the region was a hotspot for inexpensive living, fast wifi, great food and incredible experiences. In the fall of 2017 I finally made my way back to the continent to motorcycle tour Vietnam and explore Myanmar. In 2019 I parked my truck camper and flew to Indonesia to spend the winter on Bali and visit Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. I was waiting for a visa to India and relaxing a few weeks on a beach in Thailand when the world came to a halt and everything stopped for COVID-19. Instead of returning home to the United States I settled in and eventually spent more than a year and a half in Thailand. The next year I returned for an incredible two months in the Kingdom of Bhutan and a visit back to Koh Lanta.
